Black Muses or What If...

The "What if…?" series of works, where I am trying to answer one of the most important questions in my art, what if we imagine the world in reverse? For centuries, the most famous artists have been white men. Their muses have always been white, too. I fantasise what would happen if the world's masterpieces had depicted black people. In my work I reinterpret famous paintings of great masters. I like imaginary dialogues with them and suggest modern interpretations of their ideas.
