Corona Currency

The „Corona Currency” series that shows imaginative banknotes and was inspired by the Corona period 2020. During the “shutdown” of shops, schools and meeting venues, people's longing for social closeness and (consumer) experiences was growing. The paintings of this series shows things and situations people were looking for at that period: the bikini that we want to buy for vacation, the drink that we want to enjoy with friends in a nice bar and the elegant shoes that we could go out with. The paintings on firm special painting ground come signed, dated, titled and with a personal imprint of the artist.
