Expressions of The Sign
Trans-avant-garde implies a return to a format of painting in which the apparent heterogeneity of styles is in reality the presence of a single style. From expressionism, this collection retakes the symbolism that is present in the expressiveness of color. These paintings create environments through distortion and by subtly insinuating shapes that convey the sensation of vegetation, which is an implicit part of them. When we look this series, we bear witness to a parade of colors ranging from the coldest, darkest tones to warm pastels—all with a symbolic meaning that represents the relationship between the ego and the outer world.
