Philip Slagter, "Los Angeles 1988-1991"

Back in LA I continued to paint but became bored with the abstraction I was "required" to do for the art scene. Work they had come to see as mine. I wanted a change. The Regis Carlson collection purchased my entire body of work, over 300 paintings, drawings and prints. It unfortunately is now in storage as the main influence in the collection, Kathy Regis, passed away shortly after the purchase and Richard no longer has any interest in art. These are just a few of the pieces. More to come.
