In the series Anima – the mystical vision we are referring to a long historical artistic tradition -the theme of the ecstasy- bringing up-to-date the human semblances with a strong electronic stamp where the video recording becomes the revelationary mechanism for the complete inner tumult of the soul. In the mystical vision, the darkness of the video creatures always emerge, fluctuating in the electronic substance, and the body, disembodied, set free from the laws of gravity and weaved with light. In this series of videostills we have rappresented the ecstasy of the video creature; the transfiguration in video language of the Bernini’s “ecstasy of Santa Teresa” and the mystic poetry of San Juan de La Cruz “the dark night of the soul”.
