Dancing to my Heritage

My figures dance in the darkroom; lain flat in their developing trays, they gradually develop to form ethereal lines that merge to create shapes that reflect the forms of my heritage. The fluid process is so fitting to this photogram collection that explores the notion of Dance as a form of cultural identity and heritage. The prints foreground the unique qualities of lines, shapes and movements created through motion. The darkroom process is fitting to this delicate yet bold, contemporary photographic collection.
