Dark Timber

In Dark Timber, I seek to even the playing field, to create a more fluid relationship between Hunter and Hunted by reframing the violence in this found film. The creatures are fantastic; the environment, surreal; the colors, disarming: tension between man and monster is both beautiful and uncomfortable. 3D sculpted characters and digital manipulation of 1970s, 35mm negatives of an elk hunting trip in Oregon, found in an eBay estate sale.
