Flowers

These works were initially produced for 'Botany’: a group show hosted by Antlers Gallery on the Christmas Steps (Bristol, UK). They’re an exploration in monochrome - but still represented through colour photography. After the exhibition 'White Rose I' was used by the Editors on their fourth album cover which brought a lot of exposure to my Flower works. These images are initially constructed as a set in my studio - with the flowers being submerged underwater and then inks dropped into the scene. In photographing this scene I am looking to capture the moment where these elements combine to create an explosion of movement.
