Summer Fields

I photographed these crops in the summer, when the fields are a deeper green, or yellow with ripe wheat. After the harvest, interesting lines and shadows appear in the dry stubble. These images were created in the farmland that surrounds our small village, where we have lived for twelve years. The village is about 35 kms (22 miles) from central Paris and was once home to King Louis XIV’s falconers and falconry.
