Picto-Real
Pictorealism is aimed to free photography from its objective and mechanical accuracy and sought to revitalize a painting-like subjectivity through an artistic blurriness and soft contours of the photographed object.
Historically, pictorealism has been developed in the same time of symbolism and shared the same counter-tendency toward the modern world. Then, tho old picto-real works were mostly nostalgic or without any time reference with historical, religious, mythological themes.
