PLACES #Seascapes

A place is more than just a point on a map. Time and space merge in places, but our perception of the event and the collection of existing physical objects that make up our image of it remain fixed and static. These abstract landscapes which are created from original digital photographs taken in multiple locations, either deconstructed or blurred through long exposure techniques, blend geography, biography, and metaphor. Throughout his work, David recurs many of the same themes and concepts: time, space, reflection, memory, and identity. In addition, he explores landscape and movement, symmetry and fractals in nature
