Manipulated Polaroid negatives Until the recent demise of Polaroid materials, I have spent the last 20 years creating my work with the positive-negative Polaroid film. I have always been fascinated with alchemy and the ideas of transformation. Pushing the boundaries of the photographic medium I have physically manipulated the emulsion of the film by hand. The passage of time has also played an integral role in final image. The work is an evolution of one reality blending into another. The physical and metaphorical transformation of the negative’s structure generates a new image resulting in an abstract reflection of the world around me.
