Relief Metal Sculptures Miniatures, Framed
These pieces are also based on the 1/6 size of the original subjects.
The brass and copper etching I create are all original designs of mine. They start out as sketches on paper, I then create a rough drawing on the metal with a resist, taking scalp and scribe I reveal my art by removing the resist. Once completed, the metal is taped and suspended in acid. Once nuturized and clean I begin by sawing out the metal with a hand saw, blade this the size of my hair.
From here many different types of metal techniques will be used on the metal, depending on the creation.
I like to tell a story in my pieces, at this point many types of mixed media techniques will be incorporated until I feel the piece is complete.
