Stories of Myself
Influenced by the work of Philip Guston and R. Crumb, which appropriate the aesthetic of comic strips and graphic novels for a fine art context, these works encompass the ongoing series called "Stories of Myself", in which the artist muses earnestly about events in his life which cause some amount of pause for honest self-reflection. Each piece painted is based on a real occurrence in the artist's life, and is accompanied by a brief monologue which is almost confessional in tone.
