The Enso Series

For years I have explored the gap at the horizon line – a strip of ether that resides between material and space. To me this gap is where spirit, muse, inspiration and imagination dwell. It is the mystical combining of animation and inanimation, of physical and non-physical, thought and no-thought. I watched as over time my horizon lines began to bend more and more dramatically until they had curved all the way into circles. It was then that I discovered something that had been there all along – the Enso. The Enso is a Zen meditation art form, and for me artwork has always been a meditation.
