The Kimono Series

Curious things happen at the junctures. Images repeat, reverse or flip. Anthropomorphic suggestions evolve as the image sinks into the retina. Masks appear. Rhythms develop where there were none before. The photos I was playing with gave me exciting detail and precision and helped me to focus on the patterns, textures, shapes and colours of nature. Many of my collages ended up in kimono-shaped collages and thus the name of the series, though all do not follow that pattern.
