Underwater Series

This collection of paintings aim to highlight aspects of the viewers preconceptions through the ambiguous way in which the female figure is presented. Creating a dialogue concerning the female form submerged in water and what it is visually perceiving. The paintings intentionally sexualise the figure. This is achieved by the use of monotonous colour and simplicity, directing the viewers attention to the form.
