Vertebrae

Vertebrae is a series of works painted on recycled wooden boards, unconventional in shape and intentions. This series produced with stucco and colour on wooden boards reminds backbones, fossils of unidentified beings; it is surrealism, it is figurative, it is abstract art, it is painting and sculpture together. High reliefs, sharp contrasts and sinuous forms, this series is among the very first works of Gale who in the meantime has expanded his research and production, but has not ended, the artist has already expressed the desire to propose again this theme in the future
