Wrestlers

This series of classic WWF wrestlers was created on reclaimed 3-dimensional cardboard ceiling tile. Patty Hogan draws a connection between the strength and dimension of these wrestling characters that have been all but forgotten to the discarded industrial tile they are painted on. Both the wrestler and the tile were put through intense abuse and appreciation, but in the end succumb to the injuries of the choreography. Patty's work embraces the fine line between the beautiful grotesque, through material, medium, and imagery.
