About The Artwork
Artisanal handmade antique kimono. Beautiful reworked with botanical prints from rose leafs. The pigments of the rose buds left behind a dark ink blue colour, while the leafs left yellow traces. Visible finished with sashiko (Japanese stitch technique) in brown silk and gold thread. The colour is very rare between nude and pale gold in to a vintage yellow undertone. It’s a subtle natural colour. Silk upper fabric with silk lining. Makes a unique textile art piece for a wall hanging or a wearable art item. Size fits small.
