ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"Bauhaus Banana" is a mixed media painting made of acrylic and wrapping paper. I visited the Getty Center in Los Angeles to see the Bauhaus art exhibition. While there, I purchased wrapping paper with Bauhaus designs and decided to use them in a still life with a banana. Hence, the title. This is a playful piece with a very contemporary feel. This painting is on a cradled wood panel, varnished, wired and ready to hang.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a Los Angeles mixed media painter with a love of color, pristine surfaces and a sense of the narrative that can lie beneath the surface. I often invent abstract shapes as a starting point for my work. The image evolves from this beginning as I continue to build forms, and a complete painting emerges. I use acrylic paints as well as maps, vintage style wrapping paper and other found papers in my work.
