About The Artwork
Dragonfly is a piece made from early cultivating rotor blades. they are mounted on an old Georgian Manhole cover. This piece symbolizes the metamorphosis that takes place during the changes in technology over time. From the Aphid to the dragonfly. Explosive fuels to electricity and renewable energy, that lightbulb moment leaves a lonely space, the old making way for the new, allowing the other threads and links to take place culminating in the new technological rebirth. My work sees influence from Astrophysicists to the historical ancient worlds and great industrialists.. Im inspired by the symbolism I draw from mathematics and quantum physics as these are methods of science that power the rudiments of existance.
