VIEW IN MY ROOM
Hanji is Korean traditional handmade paper (PH neutral) made from the inner bark of mulberry trees known in Korea as "Dak". Paper mulberry has long fibers and consists of cellulose. Its fibers are strong and don't rip easily. And also Structure of Hanji is formed by criss-cross of the fiber directions. Chickens that appear frequently in my work are our lives and I, too. The main reason for making chicken is the bird of the sun that opens the dawn by the crying of the chicken, and it implies symbolism as the existence of dawn which is bound to darkness and lightness. The meaning of the chicken in Christianity is Peter's repentance. The type of chicken I work with always appears in a positive form. In a beautiful life Express a message of hope. I express traditional things and I consider them to be modern and futuristic I want to reinterpret it as a work. There is a unique texture of Hanji, which explores the stereoscopic feeling of objects. I collage the pieces of Korean paper one by one.
