About The Artwork

Title: John Lennon "Imagine" Limited Edition Print 6/50 Medium: giclee print on Epson Hot Press paper Art Description: Exquisite, archival, giclee print on Epson Hot Press paper. The print quality of this artwork is exceptional. The size of the printed area is 800mm x 800mm with a 100mm white border all round, bringing the total dimension to 1000mm x 1000mm. This artwork has been produced to the highest standards and has been personally signed and dated by the artist. Many of John Lennon's quotations have been embedded in the work, as well as lyrics from The Beatle's songs. This means that the artwork has its own soundtrack - when you view the artwork, the songs play in your mind. Other elements that have been incorporated include a map of Liverpool, as well as the sheet music for "Let it be". One of the quotes is, "Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." I love this quote and it has been a really profound quote for me along my journey.

Eleanor Turvey launched her career with a series of arresting and powerful collage portraits. What sets her work apart is a unique technique and a continuously evolving practice. "My love of portraiture began as a personal search for truth and guidance. I have studied and portrayed many great leaders and thinkers along my journey and I realised that, in addition to capturing their likeness, I wanted to weave their thoughts and words into the portrait, thereby opening a window into the mind of the person being portrayed. I discovered that collage is the perfect medium for achieving this." Eleanor Turvey lives and works in Cape Town and became a full-time artist in 2012. Her work is in private and corporate collections in the UK, Hong Kong and throughout Africa.
