About The Artwork
Portrait of Lady Mary is inspired by portraits in National Portrait Gallery London in Room One. Lady Mary's facial features are hand embroidered. Her nose as with all of my portraits is made out of part of dried gient allium that grows in my garden. All fabrics are carefully positioned and hand stitched by myself. The fabrics are either vintage or recycled.
