A collage and story is weaved into this piece. The vintage appearance is inspired by Brazilian artist Eduardo Recife. His use of old style images and digital design, he creates vintage collages that include a combination of materials from newspaper to his own drawings. To respond to his work I created my own world using illustrations from an old factual book. The images bring warmth to the piece, paired with the colour and texture of the paper all the mediums are layed on to. The vintage appearance led me to use a girl in a 20th century dress, which compliments his style of work. I have used rolled up cartridge and attached the magazines to the base paper that way to create dimension. Standing on waves of blue glossy magazine, it a fantasy like feeling forms in which one can enjoy.
