Collage: Ink, Manipulated on Paper.
About Organic Wreaths:
Inspired by nature, the artist uses ink and collage techniques to imitate and amplify its textures and forms. The aim is to create visual elements that have a natural aesthetic and quality. Due to the characteristics of materials and techniques used, the process of making is fluid and alive. The resulting elements are partially chance and partially calculation; the outcome of both ceding the artist’s control over the process and being acutely aware of the development of forms and textures. Just like in nature, every resulting element is unique and cannot be repeated.
Cutouts, made alongside the ink elements, both echo and contrast them. They serve as an allusion to the fragility of our nature.
About this artwork:
Organic Wreath #33 features muted, neutral and earthy tones. Rocky shapes and textures are intertwined with the amorphous and the cloud-like to create compositions where the opposites compliment each other.
The artwork evokes a sense of meditative calm and serenity. It attracts a viewer with its alive-like quality, as the shadows move depending on how light changes during the day.
Note: The artwork is not framed or mounted. The detailed mounting and framing instructions will be provided.
