About The Artwork

Paradox of Heritage emerges as an artistic commentary on the coalescence of the timeless elegance encapsulated in Persian miniatures with the stark intrusion of military items and personnel. This juxtaposition serves as a metaphor for the intricate dance between the enduring cultural values of Persian civilization and the challenges posed by the contemporary manifestations of militarism. Digital decoupage becomes a medium of both synthesis and dissonance, as each composition carefully integrates iconic traditional elements with contemporary military symbolism. The result is a visual narrative that not only reflects the tension between past and present but also speaks to the urgent reality of militarism within the cultural context of Iran today. The Paradox of Heritage invites contemplation on the impact of militarism on cultural narratives, urging viewers to reflect on the dualities inherent in preserving heritage amidst the turbulence of contemporary times. As we witness the fusion of tradition and the exigencies of the present, the series serves as a visual dialogue on the challenges faced by a culture striving to reconcile its historical legacy with the urgent demands of the here and now.
