Reflect on Peace is part of my Reflection series where I use mirror in mixed media. I brought these Italian comics, Topolino (Mickey Mouse) home with me from my last trip to Italy. I knew I needed to use them in something. I combined the joyful essence of those comics with a vintage page from The Los Angeles Times declaring the war is over with one of my favorite words and concepts, PEACE! The face (mirror) is made of acrylic (unbreakable) and it's a reminder to reflect. This is a highly textured and glossy peace with deep blues.
