About The Artwork
This collage is part of a serie created during my stay in India in 2016.This portrait is about the marks of british empire in India. The main body comes from a queen, this kind of fantomatic portrait you can find hanging in old english castles. The indian eyes represent all the sensuality and charm of Bollywood actresses. Feathers are like an old fashioned coquetry and the fatty legs are taken from a circus freak show, just to enlight the curiosity of this visual assemblage. Pieces of the artwork are original old papers from my collection. The background is made with nepali paper, made by hand in the mountains, i brought from my stay.
