In this thought-provoking artwork, the concept of a journey is explored through a captivating interplay of symbolism and imagery. The central focus is a boat—a powerful emblem of beginnings, exploration, and embarking on new horizons. Yet, the boat takes on diverse forms, serving as a canvas on a tree, an abstract interplay of colors on a doorknob, and more. This multifaceted portrayal suggests the myriad ways in which the idea of a journey can manifest, both in the tangible and the metaphorical realms. The boat, whether rendered on a canvas, interwoven with the textures of a tree, or presented through the lens of abstract art, beckons the viewer to contemplate the profound significance of new ventures. It sparks reflection on the countless paths that life offers, each filled with unique challenges, discoveries, and transformations. The diverse manifestations of the boat symbolize the artist's inspiration drawn from the complexity of human experience and the myriad possibilities that lie before us. The choice of subject matter serves as a catalyst for viewers to explore their own journeys—be they physical, emotional, or creative—and consider the choices they make along the way. Through the distinct mediums, the artist aims to evoke a range of emotions and thoughts. By presenting the boat in various forms, the artist invites the audience to explore the multifaceted nature of journeys and the countless ways in which they can be perceived. A few lines from a poem grace the artwork, further encapsulating the emotions and thoughts that the Boat's Odyssey evokes: "From canvas to tree, an odyssey's trace, Abstract colors, a journey's embrace. Paths that diverge, choices untold, A boat's journey, a story to unfold."

Valentyna Rybkina was born in 1977. After graduating from National University with a Master's in Politology and Sociology, she started to oil paint in 2013 as a self-taught artist influenced by great artists like Aivazovsky. She invites you to remember with her paintings the sunny and happy places you may have visited or plan to visit again, to see how beautiful nature is. She hopes you can look at the colors of her painting, enjoy them, relax, and forget about your problems. Life is good ;) She is especially interested in oil landscapes (ocean and seascape) and has always been passionate about flowers - these are the main thematic focus of all her works.
