About The Artwork

Hello, I'm Jung Minhee, a painter. I've always drawn pretty girls like dolls, arrogant and elegant puppies. They sit in luxury boutiques, leisurely spending time as if they're not interested in anything, or they look arrogant with their eyes closed as if they were dreaming. Why did the main character in my painting have to be pretty and arrogant? The standard of happiness that stays in the eyes of others. A more relaxed life because he has a pretty appearance that attracts attention or wealth and honor that cannot be known about the hardships of life. Struggling with the happiness of everyone who believes that they are everything I don't know if he created imaginary fragments in the picture that were different from me, admiring everything that was different from me and things that I didn't have I didn't think I had anything. I thought I was hugging an empty box that didn't fill. But I didn't know I had the dog and I just thought it was completely empty. Having spent 15 years breathing with my dog, I have endured the days dominated by the two letters of emptiness, and everything I hoped for feels like a useless illusion. Everything was a happiness for me in those days when I was anxious and frustrated, and my dog was always looking at me with sparkling eyes and filling me with my sigh, but the times I didn't know all I had and was just kicked out of the illusion. Longing is not bad, but I was frustrated in it. They weren't all that, but I don't know if I couldn't live in the present as time passed and always thought of a better life as a dream, and I'm going to capture my confessions again, not the time of today but the life of yesterday when my dog was alive. I'm painting while waiting for the day to come when I can live today willingly without the regret of one day I couldn't make it or the anxiety of tomorrow
