ECLAT D'ETE / SUMMER GLOW "Eclat de soleil au réveil, le coeur en joie, je m'émerveille." SUMMER GLOW is part of my new series of haiku-paintings called "Season's Joys". My haiku-paintings are made up of a digital painting and a very short poem that captures the emotion of the moment. I paint freehand on an iPad and print in a giclée process using high-intensity pigment inks on velvety fine art paper produced in France. Each of my haiku paintings is a seed of a story. For my "Season's Joys" series, I explore cutting up and assembling fragments of my original paintings to create new stories. The cycle of the seasons reminds us of the natural rhythm of life: the spring rush, the summer exuberance, the autumn retreat and the winter rest. And let's not forget the 5th season, the one that marks the in-between, when it's not yet over and it hasn't yet begun. The seasons offer us a lesson in life: season's joys. ________ ECLAT D'ETE appartient à ma nouvelle série de tableaux-haïkus "Joies de Saison". Mes tableaux-haïku se composent d’une peinture digitale et d’une très courte poésie qui vient saisir l’émotion de l’instant. Je peins à main levée sur iPad et j'imprime en giclée avec des encres pigmentaires d'une grande intensité sur le velouté d'un papier fine art produit en France. Chacun de mes tableaux-haïku sont des graines d'histoires. Pour ma série de "Joies de Saison", j'explore le découpage et l'assemblage des fragments de mes tableaux originels pour créer de nouvelles histoires. Le cycle des saisons nous rappelle le rythme naturel de la vie : la ruée du printemps, l'exubérance de l'été, le repli de l'automne et le repos de l'hiver. Sans oublier la 5e saison, celle qui marque l'entre-deux, quand tout n'est pas fini et que tout n'a pas encore commencé. Les saisons nous offrent une leçon de vie : les joies de la saison.

Painter, designer of experiences, poet, author and photographer, Aude Simon combines art and technology to honour living plants and decompartmentalizing pictorial expression. The seeds of my pictorial stories grow out of the ephemeral beauty of everyday life. Since the experience of lockdown, during which I found myself deprived of nature, I've been painting digital series about things we no longer see - nature in the city, roadsides, home sweet home, walks at plant height, the seasons in the garden, homemade bouquets... - to which I add a few words... I call them my haiku paintings. A haiku painting consists of a printed digital painting and a very short poem that captures the emotion of the moment. My series consist of individual paintings that can be arranged in triptychs or diptychs of different formats to create scenographies adapted to the exhibition space. These "wholes are then more than the sum of their parts" and in turn become new seeds of stories... _____ Artiste-peintre, designer d’expériences, poète, auteur, photographe, Aude Simon conjugue art et technologie pour honorer le vivant végétal et décloisonner l'expression picturale. Mes graines d'histoires picturales naissent de l'éphémère beauté du quotidien. Depuis l’expérience du confinement durant lequel je me suis retrouvée privée de nature, je peins en digital des séries sur ce que l'on ne voit plus – la nature en ville, les bords de route, le chez soi, les balades à hauteur végétale, les saisons du jardin, les bouquets maison… – auxquelles je conjugue quelques mots... Je les appelle mes tableaux-haïkus. Un tableau-haïku se compose d’une peinture digitale imprimée et d’une très courte poésie qui vient saisir l’émotion de l’instant. Mes séries regroupent des tableaux individuels qui peuvent être modulés en triptyques, diptyques, de différents formats pour créer des scénographies adaptées aux lieux d’exposition. Ces « touts sont alors plus que la somme des parties » et deviennent à leur tour de nouvelles graines d’histoires…
