I am a self-taught visual artist, musician, and writer. Making images has become a continuous thing over the past decade, whether drawing, collage, video, or photography. I don’t impose boundaries or styles, allowing me to go in any direction with my work. I have evolved from photography, but I am currently mostly working with digital and analog media, like photographs and scanned images from many other sources, sometimes collaged with words. My artistic interests lie in further exploring analog and digital media. Artists that have inspired me are, amongst others, Barbara Kruger, Ed Ruscha, and David Hockney, but also photographers like William Eggleston and Robert Frank and filmmakers such as David Lynch, Wes Anderson, and Quentin Tarantino. With my photographic and image-making work, I want to surprise the viewer by removing context, changing context, and adding connotations to scenes and pictures.
