About The Artwork

This artwork is one of a series called (Exploration Apathy),the artworks inquires into the search for beauty whilst also playing with irony and the stark contrast of the destruction made by humankind. The narrative of the artwork is situated as a search for other life on new planets and the images portray imaginary new planets. And yet the death and destruction we have left behind on planet Earth comes to the forefront when the new found planets are called – Bone, Blood, and Meat. In reality, although these new planets might express a natural wonder and beauty, they are in fact made from the slaughter and the flesh of dead animals.

Born and raised in the ceramic city of Stoke-on-Trent in the late seventies, I am a photographic artist that captures photo-illustrative scenarios and environments, with an abstract style. I have a strong passion for dramatic visuals inspired by cinema, illustration, and graphic design. The artworks are created using a mixed media approach exploring diorama, light painting, and installation, with the final outcome being large photo art prints.
