This piece started out as a small collage using cut paper, then I drew it digitally. It is giclee printed on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag paper. It has matte finish with a mild felt texture,18.9 mil thickness, acid and lignin free. It is signed and numbered. About me and inspiration: I'm an artist and graphic designer living in Southern California. During my husband's terminal cancer diagnosis, I began creating joyful Matisse-inspired cut-out collages and prints as a necessary escape. Inspired by the Pacific coast I start by creating small collages using paper shapes that I hand cut. My vibrant,happy artwork aims to bring a little sunshine into the world, pushing away the darkness that sometimes takes over. By using bright colors and bold shapes, I strive to capture the beauty and spirit of life even when it might be hard to see at first glance.
