About The Artwork

The drawings in this collection are inspired by Barry Hines' famous novel 'A Kestrel for a Knave' and were commissioned from the Folio Society, London. The republished book marks the first time the story has been illustrated and I hope you will feel the drama that I have tried to create in these pieces. This piece titled 'Frontis' is drafted on the finest Hahnemuhle etching paper for its weight and beautiful grain. The paper is a wonderful material for taking the crayon and charcoal and ensures that the drawing lasts. The drawing has been fixed and comes unframed and packed well before sending to make sure no harm should come to them during transit.
