Amalgam Drawing

‘Amalgam’ is a work included in a series that I entitled ‘Song of the Eccentric’ and that I described as ‘a personal exploration of the variety of human personalities and reactions’. When creating this work, I simply set my mind free, leaving out all plans and all possible worries and judgments; I just let the characters find or decide their own style, attitude and even relationships to each other in the indefinite space inside the A4 rectangle. The interaction between these people, animals and elements is what mainly interested me: the similitudes, sympathies, errors, suspicions, confusions, contradictions, coquetry, hostile attitudes… I think the human nature is infinitely mysterious and surprising and I tried to express this belief through my 12 human characters in ‘Amalgam’.
