This illustration is part of an unclosed collection of my works about an endless summer. It is the second work that includes Amity in its name, in a direct reference to the fictional island where the 1975 film Jaws takes place. In my memory my own summers are mixed with that film, its colour, light and sounds. To that imaginary summer I transfer my whole alternative world of retropresent, with iconic classic cars and young contemporary people, who seem to live in some impossible-to-determine time between 1975 and the present. The vehicle is an early 1980's Ford Bronco. This digital illustration has been made with custom brushes that allow me to soften the digital-analogue transition. The setup includes self-imposed limits, both in terms of resolution and number of layers; a series of strategies to preserve my analogue technique, without losing the openness of digital possibilities. This digital illustration was created as part of a limited series of five copies. The artwork is presented numbered and with a certificate of authenticity.
