Ancient Relic 04 Drawing

My visits to places of historical (Heritage sites) importance is the inspiration of my artworks. I spends hours studying these sculptures. Their forms, detailing , tools used to make these amazing sculptures has always made me curious to learn about the ancient era. It also gives an idea of our glorious past and the civilization which was much more advanced. One who sees the drawing will definitely be mesmerized by the sculpture as well as the stone effect of the drawing. Black and white are basic colors of life. Only these two colors can give the feel of ancient era (according to me) which I depict in my drawings. Most of my drawings are of Ancient Indian Sculptures as I think these sculptures will get faded, damaged with age,but I can preserve them through my drawings. Charcoal is what we get by burning wood. So I am recreating art which is carved out of stone, by using charcoal.
