The work is based on quotes from legends about Eulenspiegel: “How to see clearly - look at him, and someday later, if doubts suddenly overcome you and you will not know what to do, ask him for advice. It is clear and hot. Be as pure in heart as the sun is clear, and as good as it is hot. ” The work is framed as a scroll, the top and bottom of the paper is fixed on wooden slats. I live in a place where the sun does not go beyond the horizon for a month and a half, so the northerners feel the special value of the sun. The work was done in the middle of the polar night, and replaced the light to me. I have been practicing calligraphy, both Russian and European, for more than 5 years. I like to experiment with large formats, they give a big scope and freedom. In my work, I do not limit myself to any technicians, I use everything that I consider necessary. For me, both the background and the phrase or words are important. I work with the text, regardless of its source, the words themselves affect me, as they are reflected in me at a given time. I try to transfer these feelings and atmosphere to my works in order to share with people.
