About The Artwork
Behind perfection is done in graphite pencil, charcoal and acrylic on 300gms watercolor art board. The inspiration behind this piece was my insight in what lies behind the need to be outwardly "perfect". The human reaction to being able to control how we are build, how we dress, how speak. How the world sees us. But what about what lies behind perfection? Our insecurities, our drive to be better than what we were yesterday. Our need to improve, build and strengthen who we are. The complexity of the human spirit has always been a mystery to all of us.
