Sketched and Crafted by 17 year old, Kareena Pinto, a dreamer and believer in the 'New' India. She outpours what she sees in Mumbai, India from the window of her home. The slums, nestled on one end with a sea link extending to the other side of the bay filled with skyscrapers. The piece depicts the liminal aspects of life in the hustle and bustle of the home of Bollywood. The innocent portrayal of the city by the artist, is raw and has no angle whatsoever. She is purely expressing what she sees.Isn't art an honest interpretation of what we feel? Isn't art meant to depict the hackneyed meant to be celebrated for its extraordinary ordinaries?
