Cheeseburger Drawing

With a vast love of food, I became obsessed with this love and how as a society, we obsess over desire and this need to constantly indulge and consume. The Cheeseburger becomes something of an archival element within our consumerist society. Fast food holds a strong identity within our society as something we are familiar with, specifically the larger companies such as McDonalds. This burger drawing becomes a metaphor that describes our society, something that we expect to be beautiful but in reality becomes a gross let down and somewhat disappointment. The depiction of the gross, crushed burger shows this reality, yet within the graphite still holds some beauty and becomes a preserved archive of our society.
