This captivating artwork is a striking example of modern abstract expressionism, employing simplicity and stark contrast to evoke deep contemplation. The piece is defined by a vertical cascade of seven alternating black and white horizontal bands of paint, each dripping downward in elongated, tear-like extensions. This drip effect not only influences the texture but also adds a sense of motion, as if the paint is perpetually in the process of descending, freezing a moment in time. The juxtaposition between the monochromatic shades of black and white offers a powerful visual dichotomy, symbolizing themes of duality, balance, and opposition. The black paint, with its dense, opaque consistency, starkly contrasts against the crisp purity of the white, drawing attention to the spaces where these two extremes meet. Each band appears meticulous yet fluid, suggesting a deliberate artist's hand that allows for organic variability. Signed by the artist in the upper right corner, the composition is both minimalistic and dynamic, capturing the viewer's attention through its raw, unembellished form. The drips create a rhythmic pattern, engaging the viewer's eye as they travel from top to bottom, highlighting the intrinsic beauty found within simplicity. This artwork's unique aspect lies in its ability to convey emotion and movement through a restricted palette and fundamental forms. It stands as a testament to the notion that profound expression can be achieved with minimalistic elements, making it a compelling and evocative piece in any collection.

I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. These are the reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with an idea or a technique until I am satisfied with the result. The inspiration for my work is in trying the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style or technique of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist. I love the many different processes of making art and experimenting with new ways of creating art. My inspiration stems from color, music, literature, and the excitement about the unknown possibilities of taking everyday objects and using them in a way that differs from what the manufacturer intended. I use a combination of found objects, acrylic paints, and aerosol paints to create abstract patterns on wood and canvas. Some of my methods include combining different chemicals and paint on paper or in plastic or wood box frames and using centrifugal force and gravity to distort vivid colors that are mixed or thrown right on the canvas. The result is the distortion of lines and contours, and layers of translucent or opaque paints on the canvas or in random patterns.
