There are many crosses in Korea. Because there are many churches. But to me those crosses don't appear to be a symbol of the church. In the scenery of the street, the cross is like a comfort to passers-by who are living a hard life. It feels like a sign that tells us that God is still with us. And I hope that the cross in my painting also comes to that consolation.
