When I was in middle school I had a Freudian psychologist which I definitely didn't like to stay on a room and talk by myself. Later in life I thought more maturely and wanted to ask him for his notes about me, or at least get in touch. When I looked him up I learned that he had died due to a heart attack in his mid 30s. It shocked for an unexplained way that I still think of to this day.

I was born in Santiago de Chile, the son of an American mother and a Chilean father. I grew up with my mom only, who worked hard for me and my brother. She taught us English from a young age and everything that involves the culture of her native country, something that has shaped me enormously. I studied at The English Institute, a school that, rather than asking for the best academic results, was very concerned with the human side of things, which I appreciate to this day. I was originally going to study visual arts, which I tried for a year when my mom moved back to California. For mental health reasons, I had to return to Chile, only having the opportunity to go to Chillán where my father lives. Since I did not take the placement test, I entered the Virginio Gómez Professional Institute to study Construction Engineering, from which I graduated last year. I don't predict my future very far, but I have ideas from the dreams I have. I would like to make a living from art, but without formal certainties, the academic world of engineering attracts me a lot. Furthermore, I started by making drawings with Bic pencil and watercolor pencils, which I independently compiled and published in book form in the United States, entitled "Pipe Ace: Learning from a Sketch." Later I evolved in a certain way to Sakura ink pencils and collages. Now I work in three series titled "The Stories", "The Journeys" and "The Towers", all in mixed media format. I was very thankful this year to be featured in a collective art book in honor of Salvador Allende for the celebration of his birthday, it had a print run of a thousand copies which meant a lot to me as a starting point in my professional career. Now I am working in a collage based on the story of Stormé Delarverie, with all profits going to the "It Gets Better" NGO for LGBTQ+ youth; along with other similar proposals in the works. Statement: As an almost young mind, I am in the middle of two subjects: tales that inspire me and my learning path that is never ending. My art right now is the first bullet point of, hopefully, many to come. The collages and illustrations I work on focus on people and society as a whole, but specially in delivering a clear message through iconography. The stories and consciousness of inspiring persons are the main subjects of my current work. I've always loved reading biographies and mixing them with the pieces I produce, is intended as a tribute to the people portrayed.
