About The Artwork
My practice involves addressing historical periods of importance that are represented by psychologically and socially charged images and objects. Images captured from the great dust storms and drought in the dust bowl states of the United states created an awareness of the despairing state of the people living their. They also highlighted the cause and effects of over farming and economic mismanagement of pricing structures related to agriculture and commodities sales going on at the time.
