Escape From Judgement Drawing

These pictures attempt to express concepts and qulities using a stripped down figure. I hope to distill humanism down to its essence, removing the outward social and emotional indicators used to make quick judgements, focusing instead on the sinew and form that illustrates our life experiance. Spartan brushwork of the soul is contrasted against the rich texural detail of life surrounding us. Herein lies symbolism borrowed from those preceding us who struggled to express simular ideas. Dante,Dostoevsky, Camus, Blake, Rushdie, Biblical writers and others have been plagiarized because of the compeling tapestry they weave. These drawings exist where the individual soul meets everything outside it. It's about the alchemy that ensues.
I am an avid plein air painter, as this keeps me connected to the enviroment and people who fire the imagination.
