Facing Extinction - Polar Bear with Cubs Drawing

This piece is a statement towards climate change with the polar icecaps melting at an unstoppable pace. We may soon have to say farewell to such a majestic animal. These bears are not growing at all to size the need to survive in such a harsh and disappearing environment. They are dying out with food scarce and flat ice lands that make it near impossible to hunt. I wanted to portray the innocence of the bears while also showing that the sea coming in behind them and that those moments of purity become less and less as their home is further destroyed day by day. Every record of these animals are essential for the coming age and our generation to understand the emergency that is climate change and how devastating and far and wide our human footprint stretches.
